About
Our story

A Kind of Tango was not born from a lifelong dream of dance. It grew from a lifetime of movement, curiosity, and a relentless search for deeper connection. Dr. Jutta Lenz spent decades as a sport scientist, psychologist, international management consultant, and athlete, running marathons, earning a Second Dan in Karate, and exploring yoga and Qi Gong in pursuit of the question she asked herself at fifty: How do I want to feel and move when I am ninety? It was Kizomba that finally opened the door, and Argentine Tango that changed everything.
Through the guidance of extraordinary teachers in South Africa and Zürich, Jutta discovered that tango is not about collecting steps, it is about learning to feel. To listen. To be present. It moved her from her head into her heart, and she has never looked back.
Today, together with her dance partner Beat, she shares that same transformation with others through immersive workshops, milongas, and seminars. A Kind of Tango is a space where adults of all ages and backgrounds discover that genuine connection, with music, with a partner, and with themselves, is always just one step away.
